I'm here!

Just crazy busy between back and forth to the hospital multiple times a day. Griffin is going great, last weigh was 1950grams and due to weighed tomorrow so will be prob over the magic 2kg mark. He is getting there with the breast feeding. He is 4 weeks old today :)

Here is a photo from few days ago, he's certainly chubbing up!

My life

1976 - Born Sydney Australia 1977 - Moved to Mid North Coast NSW 1978 - My sister is born 1981 - We move out of unit into our own house 1988 - I start high school 1988 - My mum dies suddenly at age 34 from a ruptured brain aneurysm 1990 - We sell our house and move into a caravan 1993 - I finish Year 12 1994 - I leave home and start uni in Sydney 1994 - I have an emergency appendicectomy 1995 - I am diagnosed with hypertension and put on medication for life 1996 - I meet Shannon, he is also studying nursing 1997 - I start work as a Registered Nurse and live with friends 1997 - I have major car accident and am off work for months with neck and back injuries, 'never to be the same' 1998 - Shannon and I move in together and get engaged 1999 - I break my leg and lose my job and fight through the nurses union with no luck 1999 - We make bad financial choices 1999 - Shannon and I marry and start trying for a baby 2000 - I complete post grad qualifications in Sexual Health 2000 - Our house is broken into and our car stolen (not insured). I also get mugged 2000 - We lose everything financially due to bad credit choices 2001 - I get pneumonia and am very ill, in hospital for weeks 2001 - We pack up and move to Nth QLD 2001 - I am accused of 'self prescribing' medication, it is proven I am innocent with the support of the nurses union after many months 2002 - See gynaecologist have tests, take 6 cycles of clomid, have laparoscopy and refers me to fertility specialist 2003 - We move to be closer to fertility treatment 2003 - I fall pregnant on our first cycle of injections and insemination 2004 - Our daughter Piper is born prematurely at 26 weeks, I have a classical caesarean, Piper dies at 2 weeks old 2004 - We move back to remote Nth QLD 2004 - We try clomid again and on our 4th and last cycle fall pregnant 2005 - Our daughter Laci is born at 31 weeks via standard caesarean and she comes home 4 weeks later 2005 - Shannon's best mate dies suddenly at 28 in Brazil, leaving behind his wife and infant son 2005 - I have a D&C after prolonged bleeding for 16 weeks 2006 - I decide to lose some serious weight. I lose 44kg 2006 - I return to work full time 2006/07 - My dad comes and lives with us for 15 months and we go on the trip of a lifetime to Norway 2007 - We start trying for our last baby 2007 - After 6 cycles of clomid and 2 insemination cycles I fall pregnant, its a blighted ovum, I have a miscarriage and D & C just before Christmas 2008 - I start studying my Masters in Sexual Health 2008 - I quit work after 2 years full time, we plan to move and I will work part time 2008 - Do our first IVF, it doesn't work 2008 - Do our second IVF, I'm pregnant! 2008 - We move out of remoteness and I am now off work due to symphysis pubis dysfunction and blood pressure issues 2008 - I only complete 2 subjects, with Distinction of my Masters due to my health when pregnant, not sure if I'll continue it. 2008 - Griffin is born at 30 weeks 1 day. I have a very complicated surgery including rupturing my uterus and infection. He comes home on Christmas eve 2009 - I have lots of complications and pain and in November have a complete abdominal hysterectomy including right ovary and devision of adhesions. Its a 25cm long vertical cut! 2009 - Griffin is diagnosed with moderate-severe cerebral palsy 2010 - I am hospitalised for a month in a mental health unit with depression 2010 - I am diagnosed with the chronic condition Fibromyalgia 2011 - Just before Laci turns 6 we get a diagnosis of Aspergers (Autism) +/- ADHD 2011 -Back to blogging after almost 2 years! My grandfather dies. Shortly after I develop stroke like symptoms and end up in stroke unit, end up being diagnosed with 'conversion disorder'. currently in rehab unit learning to walk etc again
